Celebrating Foodservice Week

In honor of Foodservice Week, February 7-11, Hickory Ridge wanted to give back to our exceptional culinary team! We made some awesome chocolate and vanilla waffles with an array of toppings made specially for our team. It is with great pleasure and appreciation that we are fortunate to demonstrate all that you do every day for our residents.

We wanted to take this opportunity to spotlight Randy Culver, our Dietary Chef at Hickory Ridge. He has been here for 2 1/2 years, and we couldn't be happier that he is our chef.

Randy is from Waynesburg, Ohio, and has been proudly married for 32 years with two wonderful daughters. Randy has mentored an adopted grandson, and he also owns his own catering business. He makes an incredible homemade Italian Wedding Soup!


In his free time, he enjoys working with seniors. Every weekend his mother-in-law comes to their house to spend time with him. Randy is also a member of his church choir and loves to sing.

When we asked Randy what his favorite part about his role at the facility was, he shared, "Meeting all the residents and making food well." It's clear to see that he puts his love and energy into everything he does. He never does anything half-hearted!
